Organizers are thrilled to launch this exciting lineup of talent with a distinct Maritime flavour

The Tipsy Muse Café and local music promoter Emma Chevarie of Music Runs Through It, have teamed up, and are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting season of live music events taking place in the coming weeks. The Cold Snap Music Series is pleased to offer three spectacular shows in Fredericton with Joel Plaskett, Chloé Breault and Measha Brueggergosman.

‘After the last few months, we feel that people need this right now (we know we do!). We’ve put together an exciting run of shows that we think will not only ignite a spark in live music fans, but at the same time offer truly unique ways to enjoy the talent,’ said Rob Pinnock, co-owner of The Tipsy Muse. ‘Any of these performances will leave a lasting impression on anyone who buys a ticket.’

Things kick off Saturday, February 26th with a solo performance by one of Canada’s most engaging performers and respected singer-songwriters, Joel Plaskett at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. With level two restrictions of 50% capacity in place, this naturally becomes a very hot ticket. The intimacy of the small numbers automatically makes this a very special Plaskett show. Fredericton local Jason Anderson will be performing an opening set.

The next day, Sunday, February 27th, Plaskett will host a local songwriter’s circle at The Tipsy Muse Cafe with some of Fredericton’s finest; Josh Bravener, Colin Fowlie, Kylie Fox and Dylan Ward. These will be ticketed as two separate shows, and seating will be very limited for each.

Also taking part in the Cold Snap Music Series is francophone dynamo Chloé Breault, who refreshes the pop universe with her mischievous smile and luminous voice. Blessed with radiant charisma, this Acadian artist captivates audiences, and in return receives the love of French-speaking fans on the airwaves and stages across New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario and France. Breault takes the stage at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre on Saturday, March 5th, with an opening set by Fredericton’s Les Chanterelles.

The finale of the series on Thursday, March 31st marks an anticipated return to a hometown stage for Measha Brueggergosman, the Fredericton born and raised soprano who performs both as an opera singer and concert artist. She has graced some of the most prestigious stages internationally and has won numerous awards. Fredericton’s neo-classical duo of Pallmer have been selected to provide an opening set for this special evening to be held inside the beautiful Wilmot United Church.

The Cold Snap Music Series is an opportunity for the community to come together in support of live music, so critical to Fredericton’s vibrant culture. The Tipsy Muse Café and Music Runs Through It are especially grateful for the support of local businesses The Hilton Garden Inn, MOCO Downtown, Charlotte Street Arts Centre, Shiftwork Recording, Raynemaker Productions and Ginger Agency who’ve joined forces to help deliver these top notch shows.
