CBC Info AM Summer Edition has included a new segment entitled FESTIVAL FORECAST for the summer! I’m looking forward to sharing info about what is happening around New Brunswick this summer. The segment will air weekly on Tuesdays at 6:15am.

This week’s forecast is musical with a good chance of magic!

It’s a strong Acadian-culture theme running through this stretch of the summer, leading up to National Acadian Day on August 15 and gatherings around the province to celebrate community and connections.

Early August brings one of the most eclectic festival stretches of the summer across New Brunswick — from East Coast singer-songwriters in Perth-Andover and an off-grid electronic rave near Albrights Corner, to sea shanties in St. Martins, chamber music in Fredericton, and a lakeside community celebration in Cambridge-Narrows.

Campobello’s Fog Fest will host free community music & culture
While food & family are key to St. Stephen’s Chocolate Fest
Country music is central at Nashwaak Music Fest
And traditional folk sounds will resonate at Miramichi Folksong Festival
Classical music will flow through Lameque’s Baroque Festival
And electronica & rock will be featured at Festival Royal in Edmundston
Grand Manan Island Fest will feature live music, ocean vibes and community spirit
