CBC Info AM Summer Edition has included a summer segment entitled FESTIVAL FORECAST! I’ve enjoyed sharing info about what is happening around New Brunswick over the summer. This week marks our last conversation as we wrap up and move into the fall programming.

This week’s forecast is again partly musical with a good chance of magic!

This stretch of the calendar runs the gamut — from Summer Soulsa’s Afro-Caribbean carnival energy and the revived Mactaquac Craft Festival, to a brand-new music weekend in Oromocto, a lake-side festival in Sackville, celebrating four decades of hot air balloons in Sussex, and Fredericton’s sendoff to summer with Harvest Music Festival.

This week’s forecast is partly musical with a good chance of magic.

This week sees Rogersville bringing in bluegrass legends, while Saint John’s waterfront goes all-folk and Dieppe will host its 5th YQM Country Fest with huge headliners. In Fredericton, families are the focus for the brand-new, free Kidfest and a celebration of sea glass will take place in Saint John.

This week’s forecast holds clear skies for good vibes!

This week, New Brunswick goes big on culture and community — Shediac transforms into a medieval kingdom for the Renaissance Faire, Moncton celebrates African, Caribbean, and Latino heritage at the African Festival, Saint John toasts 150 years of its historic City Market, and the whole province will pause to mark a decade since The Tragically Hip’s unforgettable farewell concert. Both Saint John and Fredericton’s are hosting celebrations.
