Today (Saturday) has a few live music events in store for you ….

Crabbe Mountain’s Thirsty Boot Lounge is heating up the afternoon with the Ross Neilsen Band  rawkin’ the blues between 3-7 pm.

The Thirsty Boot will also play host to The Picaroon’s Winter Warmer Party starting at 9pm tonight! These guys are seriously talented musicians who never quit having a good time and entice you to do the same!

If you are in the city be sure to stop in at Dolan’s Pub to check out the band Party Boots playing catchy original songs, stone cold classics, and their own spin on current hit songs.

Lots of music happening in Fredericton this week…

I trust you all enjoyed your weekend and had a chance to take in some live music somewhere along the way! There is no shortage of opportunities to find a live music experience this coming week – there is something for everyone!

You can make Tuesday (Nov 6th) terrific by swinging by Dolan’s Pub where musicians will offer up their talents and time to raise money in support of those affected by the fire which destroyed the building containing Isaac’s Way and a rooming house (staff and residents). Grand Theft Bus, She Roars, Four-Twenty, Eric of Many Hats, LOLA, Jaclyn Reinhart, Rich Gloade, Mumble, Jayde Hunter, Evans McGee, Anthony Gray, Angelina Boucher, Sasha Smith and Kahler Legacy will be providing 12 hours of entertainment and it all starts at 11:30AM – great food, good tunes, fun times!

Wednesday will be wicked with Death From Above 1979 performing at the Boyce Farmers Market“… a two piece, two friends; Jesse F Keeler and Sebastien Grainger that live in a funeral parlour in Toronto. To hear them on record, it is hard to believe that the only instruments being played (with the exception of the odd Flute sample or Moog oscillation) are the bass and drums.”

Thursday (Nov 8th) has a couple of great options for you to consider.
The Once will be performing at The Cedar Tree Cafe Thursday night – “Bringing with them “vocal harmonies thick enough to stand on,” Armed with bouzouki, banjo, unaccompanied ballads and shanties, the band has quickly earned their place amongst Newfoundland’s finest musical talent. The four-time MusicNL award winners have delighted crowds at The Vancouver Olympics, the Junos in Saint John’s, Newfoundland, and most places in-between, and this fall affair will show you why!

Over at The Fredericton Playhouse on Thursday night you can find Ian Sherwood and Coco Love Alcorn – “two ECMA nominated artists are ready to roll into your town. Seamlessly blending their individual catalogs as they present a dynamic show; with this feisty duo there’s no need for a band. In an evening full of harmonies, humour, and a zest for engaging in the moment; a sense of adventure is created by these two troubadours. Whether you’re already a fan of either or new to both, come expecting to hear folk, pop, jazz, soul and storytelling at it’s best as Ian and Coco roll into town.”

So there you have just a few of the options available for live music in Fredericton. Check out the calendar on the side bar for other options and let me know if there are any events missing from the calendar.

Let the music run through you too!
