Music Runs Through It marks a decade of celebrating the live music experience!

Fredericton-based music promoter Music Runs Through It (MRTI) has been celebrating and promoting the live music experience for 10 years, and that is an occasion deserving of an event.
In recognition of this exciting milestone, MRTI invites everyone to share in the live music experience as Fredericton’s songstresses Les Chanterelles and rock’ n ’rollers Marian take to the stage at Dolan’s Pub on Thursday, March 10th at 7PM.
Music Runs Through It (MRTI) is the creation of Emma Chevarie, a long-time music promoter who put her passion to work. MRTI started out as a blog to fulfill a need in Fredericton – a central location to list all live music events taking place in the city. The business has evolved to promoting multiple shows either as a presenter or partnering with local venues in presenting both local artists and those travelling through. MRTI has presented shows in most music venues in the city, including Charlotte Street Arts Centre, Dolan’s Pub, The Tipsy Muse Café and the Fredericton Playhouse.
MRTI’s Emma Chevarie has been recognized for her work in bringing music to Fredericton, not only by the patrons, musicians and presenting partners she has worked with, but also by the musical community, when presented the Diane London award in 2016, after only four years in business. This award is presented to a female local musician, artist, or arts-related person with a creative spirit and talent, who gives of themselves to the community and who exemplify the spirit and character of the beloved Fredericton singer, the late Diane London.
In the past ten years of business, Music Runs Through It has had the pleasure of presenting exceptional artists such as Steve Poltz, Rick Fines, Suzie Vinnick, Steve Hill, Garrett Mason, Stacey Earle, Tomato/Tomato, Alfie Zappacosta, The Hypochondriacs, Lynn Miles, Sleeper Driver, Meaghan Blanchard, Erin Costello, Quote the Raven, Norma MacDonald, Christina Martin, Sherman Downey, Christine Campbell, Megan Bonnell just to name a few.
Emma’s passion for music and her work in the industry has offered her additional opportunities in the past decade of MRTI. In addition to promoting and presenting live music, Emma accepted a role as a contributing blogger for Fredericton Tourism and is the Live Music columnist for CBC Information Morning Fredericton to further support her commitment to promote live music in the city.
‘Having worked for ten years to facilitate something I am so passionate about has been a thrill!’ says Emma ‘I absolutely love the community I am part of and cannot wait to see what the future holds for the Fredericton music scene, and for Music Runs Through It!’
