Campbell & Johnston and the a Black Market Band are vintage Blues-Rock and Roots music with a modern twist, fronted by two powerhouse guitarists and vocalists. They’ve been making waves, opening up for some big names, like Burton Cummings, Steve Earle & Bob Seger. Their latest release album earned them 2 awards in 2025, “Best Blues Release ECMAs, and Best Blues Recording at Music Nova Scotia. They’ve had extensive radio play, in Canada where they reached #3 in Canadian Roots Radio, as well as the U.K. and U.S. Their songs were added to 2 of Joe Bonamassa’s playlists and you may also hear their music in various popular Canadian shows such as “Hudson & Rex” & “Sullivan’s Crossing”. They have had some extensive touring since the last release, including Ottawa Bluesfest, Sommo, Stanfest, and opening for Amanda Marshall at the Montreal Jazz and Bluesfest and a UK tour.

Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute – Saint John

More than four decades after Austin guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan crossed the border for a sweltering July date in 1983 at the fabled El Mocambo in Toronto, that night remains one of the most legendary live sets in blues history — captured just five weeks after the release of his debut LP, Texas Flood.

Stevie Ray Vaughan Live at The El Mocambo is a historic set that included scorching originals mixed with covers from blues titans like Buddy Guy, Howlin’ Wolf, Lonnie Mack and John Lee Hooker. The night also extended to rock’s lineage by including three Jimi Hendrix covers, proving that Stevie Ray was part of an exciting new breed, complete with its own set of reference points. As for the performance itself, it was delivered with a fire and passion that was uniquely Stevie’s and arced from emotionally raw to fiercely powerful.

Join us for two nights as our winter blues series continues with a faithful recreation of this legendary live performance, along with a bonus set of SRV favourites: January 21, 2027 at Dolan’s Pub, and January 22, 2027 at Water Street Dinner Theatre. In 1960, Ella Fitzgerald released “Ella Wishes You A Swinging Christmas”. This treasured holiday album established ‘The First Lady Of Song’ alongside Bing Crosby and Elvis Presley in the chorus of legendary seasonal voices. Her unique style and vocal innovations took traditional Christmas classics to exciting new heights in true Ella Fitzgerald fashion.

This December 18th – one week out from the big day – join us at The Delta Fredericton for a very special holiday performance, as Cuban jazz powerhouse, Dee Hernandez once again brings to life the fearless beauty of one of the 20th century’s most important voices, Ella Fitzgerald. Dee toured an Ella Tribute across the Maritimes last year to appreciative audiences and sold-out rooms. This show will feature all the Ella classics you would expect to hear, as well as a special selection of holiday favourites, once again, bringing to life the charm, beauty and spirit found within her incredible body of work.
