DESCRIPTION:Guitarist and composer…teacher and improviser…Geordie Haley returns to where it all began for him musically when he comes home in February for a highly anticipated return to the Delta Fredericton\, where he has performed many times throughout his colorful and creative career as one of Canada’s most respected jazz guitar players. \nWhether it’s exploring various jazz forms or experiments in modern classical themes through electronic sounds\, Haley’s seamless connection of all these influences have allowed him to come up with his own unique style and voice through his instrument. \nJoining Haley for this incredible night of music will be notable local musicians Michael Doherty on keys\, Jason Flores on bass\, and Karl Gans hits the kit\, so you’re guaranteed a night of premiere musicianship while experiencing a true homecoming for one of Fredericton’s finest musical sons. \nMaking this night even more special is\, of course\, the venue itself. For many years DJ Purdy’s was Fredericton’s unofficial home for jazz music\, so to see these performers return to light up this particular stage\, makes this gig extra special for jazz lovers in the city.
