From folk music’s fresh new face\, to pop’s most important voice\, Bob Dylan reshaped music throughout the 60’s\, then artfully redefined his musical direction a number of times through the 70’s and 80’s in a successful burst of creativity that explored new personal depths to his songwriting. \nMay is Bob Dylan’s birth month\, and this year he turns 84\, so we are throwing a huge party to celebrate the man and his music. Join us at Dolan’s Pub on May 29th\, as host Brent Mason and an all star cast\, including Jessica Rhaye and Ramshackle Parade\, Josh Bravener\, Peter Hicks (Sleepy Driver)\, Alan Jeffries and Pretty Western as they hand select personal favourites from his fabled career in an evening that promises a deep dive into the brilliance of Dylan. \nBruce Springsteen said it best when inducting Dylan into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame… ‘Elvis Presley freed my body\, but Bob Dylan freed my mind.’ \nShow starts at 7:30PM. Show at 7PM. \nBased in Charlotte County\, NB\, the Chickahominy Mountain Band has been a rhythm and country band performing at festivals\, bars\, and cafes since 2017. Composed of members from some of the Maritimes’ most beloved bands\, including acres & acres\, Earthbound\, Montgomery Street Band\, and Sticky Bandits\, these five musicians have crafted a unique blend of styles and an engaging on stage chemistry that jumps out and grabs you by the suspenders. \nSam Astorino has a talent for writing exciting melodies and telling stories about life in small towns and the backwoods of New Brunswick. His songwriting is complemented by the groovy percussion of Mike Humble and the solid bass playing of Ian Sherwood. Don Flatt brings a delightful presence with his keyboard skills\, while Patrick Gushue adds flair to the group with his blazing solos on fiddle\, mandolin\, and tiny guitar (also known as the electric mandolin)
