Their new record Cuckoo combines powerful Ukrainian polyphony\, driving Balkan rhythms\, and modern Western musical elements. After working together for the past 10 years out of St. John’s\, NL\, Josh Sandu and Andrew Laite have fused an intimate musical connection that comes across in every new song and performance. \nECMA 2022 Songwriter of the Year and 2020 Music NL Folk/Roots Artist of the Year award winners\, Rube & Rake’s music is an exercise in creating something beyond the sum of their parts. \nRube & Rake are travelling with Len O’Neill as a supporting act. \nLen O’Neill\, a singer-songwriter from St. John’s\, Newfoundland\, began his career in the local pub and bar scene\, playing guitar and bass in rock bands and leading the award winning indie rock band Green & Gold through two albums and several east coast tours. Influenced by a diverse range of artists spanning classic rock legends to poetic songwriters\, Len crafts introspective\, lyric-driven compositions exploring themes of ambition\, sorrow\, and personal growth. His debut solo album\, “Out Of View\,” showcases a dynamic evolution in his sound\, marked by poignant storytelling and vulnerability. \nDoors open at 7pm – Show at 7:30pm
