Join an array of fantastic Canadian musicians as they honour and perform the timeless work of Joni Mitchell. One of the most influential singer-songwriters of all time, Mitchell’s career spans half a century, and each of her albums is a universe in itself; audiences will almost certainly have heard of her 1971 record Blue, which NPR put at the top of its 2017 list of Greatest Albums Made by Women. She holds ten Grammy awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and her influence on contemporary music is incalculable.

Mitchell’s career is treated to a loving retrospective by vocalist Coral Egan, Yannick Rieu on saxophone, and Daniel Thouin on piano. They are backed up by Rick Haworth (electric guitar), Rémi-Jean Leblanc (electric bass), Miles Dupire-Gagnon (percussion, vocals), Robbie Kuster (drums) and Zachary Boileau (acoustic guitar). Together these talented artists offer us an insight into Joni Mitchell’s work where jazz, folk, and pop blend in an original and cohesive way. Audiences should expect groundbreaking renditions of hits such as “River,” “Big Yellow Taxi,” and “Coyote,” rooted in the spirit of musical open-mindedness that defines Joni Mitchell’s repertoire.
