Special show with Charlie A’Court, Lloyd Spiegel AND Suzie Vinnick on May 1st

Join us Monday, May 1st at the Fredericton Playhouse where multi-award-winning artists, Canadians Suzie Vinnick and Charlie A’Court, and Australian Lloyd Spiegel, will deliver a dynamic evening filled with songs, stories and laughs as they take their roots ‘n’ blues kitchen party from coast-to-coast. Their Fredericton stop is #22 of 25! They have been honing their skills and are in top form as they bring us a show to be talked about for a long time to come.

Crossing the globe, commanding both festival and theatre stages, they are seasoned performers, singer-songwriters and storytellers on their own. Witness the magic of these three remarkable and unique artists, showcasing not only their solo works, but their shared collaborations.

For a hint at what we can expect check out this review from one of their western shows:
Stunning musicality was on full display.. when3x JUNO Award nominee Suzie Vinnick, 5x East Coast Music Award winner Charlie A’Court, and 14x Australian Blues Award Winner Lloyd Spiegel took the stage.. They delighted the crowd with stories and anecdotes that elicited much laughter. Their stage presence was infectious, and a fun night was had by all in attendance.. this trio of awesome musicians put on a first rate show that was entertaining in every respect. The musicianship was off the chain, the songwriting was glorious and the stage banter hilarious. In terms of stage presence, these three delivered in spades.” Scott Roos

Fredericton Music Festival 2023

The 76th annual Fredericton Music Festival begins Monday, April 17th and continues until Thursday, April 27th.

The festival committee and its large team of volunteers have worked hard to organize this community event. Once again, residents of the capital region will have an opportunity to hear the musical talents from within their own community, with more than 690 solo and group entries and 1186 participants performing in seven venues across the city.

Highly qualified professionals have been selected from Atlantic Canada and beyond to adjudicate the wide variety of classes in choir, band, piano, strings, brass, voice, woodwinds, musical theatre, and for the first time, indigenous music. The festival provides a wonderful experience for all participants from the youngest beginners to the most seasoned senior performers. As in past years, some of these talented musicians may move on to represent the community at the Provincial competition.

Festival programs are available at Tony’s Music Box, and at all venues during festival for $10. Full schedule can be found by clicking here. The cost to attend the festival is $2 (adult) per session and students are free. Festival Passes are $20 and available at all venues during the festival.

The Junior and Senior Awards Concerts will take place at 7:00pm on Tuesday May 9th and Wednesday May 10th in the Tom Morrison Theatre at Fredericton High School. Entry fees are $5 (adult) and free for students and with a festival pass.
