Larlee Creek Hullabaloo 2023 is bigger, and better than ever!

THE TREWS, JIMMY RANKIN, ADAM BALDWIN & THE JENNY WREN,
HYPOCHONDRIACS HEADLINE THE HULLABALOO!
14th Edition of beloved Perth-Andover Festival happens Aug. 9-13

The Best Little Festival in the East isn’t so little anymore. Fresh off the great success of last year’s event, the 2023 Larlee Creek Hullabaloo has added more great stars, many appearing for the first time at the festival, and has expanded with a third night of mainstage performances on Thursday.

Tickets on sale Tuesday, May 2 at 11 am at www.larleecreekmusic.ca

The 2022 festival saw many milestones reached for the Hullabaloo, including the first-ever sell-out on Saturday night. This year the festival is building on that, by adding another mainstage show on Thursday night and bringing in more East Coast favourites, national stars, and even international artists.

The acclaimed The Trews are anchoring Saturday night, bringing their string of gold records and big Canadian hits for the first time to the Hullabaloo stage. On Saturday afternoon you’ll find East Coast favourite Jimmy Rankin performing an acoustic duo set featuring a mix of his solo hits and Rankin Family faves along with a sampling of songs from his upcoming album.

Friday night sees the return of Adam Baldwin & the Jenny Wren, who knocked it out of the park at last year’s Hullabaloo and loved it so much he’s back again. He’ll be followed by the hugely popular Fredericton group The Hypochondriacs, no longer a local secret, now true East Coast stars.

Thursday night’s Early Bird pass holder’s show has become so popular that the Hullabaloo has had to move it from downtown to the main stage. That’s where outlaw country favorites The Divorcees will hold court, as well as new Acadian party band Beauxmont, and alt-country rising star Cameron Nickerson.

There’s lots more happening on the main stage and at various venues and pop-up stages around Perth-Andover. Juno nominee, ECMA winner, and star of Canada’s Got Talent, Kellie Loder, will be on the main stage and also will lead a songwriting workshop. Quote the Raven brings their beautiful harmonies, and the fast-rising star DeeDee Austin makes her Hullabaloo debut.

More festival newcomers:  The Commonheart is a powerhouse rock and soul band all the way from Pittsburgh. Coming even further is British-born singer-songwriter Jack Broadbent, and indie-folk group I, the Mountain joins the festival from Kitchener, ON. There are still more names to be announced in the coming weeks as well. Add in the usual great mix of local and East Coast acts, including Brent Mason and Friends on Wednesday, plus the famous Little and Big Hullabaloos, and it’s another awesome event in Perth-Andover.

This year there are various ticket and pass options, plus several Pay What You Will shows. The popular Family Tent is back Saturday, with musical games, and family workshops.  As always, the main stage is located at beautiful Larlee Creek, with an incredible view of the Saint John (Wolastoq) River. Campers can book sites next door to the stage at Baird’s Family Campground, and there will be food vendors and artisans in and around the main tent as well.

Pick a day and come for the shows or book a spot and enjoy a mini vacation. All the details and tickets are available at larleecreekmusic.ca, and stay tuned for even more announcements.
