2017 In Review

As 2017 wraps up its important to me to reflect on the highlights of what was a very full year for Music Runs Through It. In collaboration with great partners at Corked Wine Bar, The Capital Complex, Dolan’s Pub and Charlotte Street Arts Centre we presented 28 shows of which many were sold out!

We celebrated Music Runs Through It‘s 5 year anniversary with a great show in March where 100+ people came together and raised their voices in song. It was a night of friendship & support and the music definitely ran through us all!

I even broke into radio this past year taking on the role of Live Music Columnist on CBC’s Info AM Fredericton to discuss the cities vibrant music scene. Its a monthly spot and I am grateful for the opportunity to share details of upcoming shows. I also had a few on-air discussions with Mark on The Lunchbox program on CHSR 97.9FM and look forward to ongoing conversations in the new year.

Let me take a moment to offer my heartfelt appreciation to all the performers, partners and patrons for supporting live music in our great city! In particular I’d like to thank Charlotte Burhoe for sharing her beautiful room, Gary Morehouse for taking care of sound, Tony’s Music Box for selling tickets and setting us up with our PA system, Shane Guitar for creating the majority of our posters, UPS Store for taking care of our printing needs, Ginger Design for our new banner and Sarah Rennick for the website refresh.

Together we all make this community better and I feel fortunate to be a part of it all.

2018 promises to bring plenty more amazing events and I look forward to sharing them all with you!

Emma ♥
