the music as i heard it….

It was a great week for live music in Fredericton and I took a few pics along the way …

Wednesday night at Dolan’s Pub we were celebrating Barry Hughes’ Bday where the Late Night Orchestra started the evening off with a great tribute to Levon Helm! You can find these guys for yourself every Wednesday night @ Dolan’s!!

Thursday night saw the celebration of our freedom to consume alcoholic beverages at the Prohibition Repeal Party held @ Garrison Ale House and the BackYard Devils served up some appropriate foot stompin’ tunes!

The Persuaders provided the crowd with lots of rock’n’roll tunes and kept the dance floor crowded on Friday night!

Saturday evening the Tay Creek Folk Festival Coffee House was held at Gallery Connexion where Sissy and the Hobos showed off some new original tunes as well as a new instrument to their line-up – the banjo!

… over to the Capital Complex the Little City was churning out some wonderful sounds using numerous instruments including keyboards, drums, guitars (electric & acoustic), bass, banjo, accordian, french horn, and mandolin!

Now your turn, what did you see & hear last week? What are you looking forward to seeing & hearing this coming week?
